Staff
How to read the staff list: columns, counters, filters, sorting and the row actions.
š„ Staff
Staff is the list of people in your company who use the platform. From here you create accounts, hand out roles, assign people to projects and keep an eye on their work: how many chats they are handling, how fast they reply on average and whether they are online right now.
Who can open this section
The Staff item in the side menu is visible to the Admin and Manager roles. Operators do not have this section ā they only work with the chats of the projects they are assigned to.
The list page
Table columns:
- Staff member ā full name, @username and the role badge. A green dot next to the avatar means the person is online, a grey one means offline.
- Email ā the address used to sign in.
- Assigned projects ā how many projects the person is assigned to and their names. Categories appear in brackets after the project name.
- Chats ā how many conversations are open with this person right now.
- Response time ā the average number of minutes it takes them to reply.
Counters
The small panel under the title shows three numbers for the whole company: Online, Offline and Total. They do not depend on the filters ā they always count every staff member.
Filtering and sorting
- Filter by project ā keeps only the people assigned to the selected project. The list has its own search box.
- Role ā All roles, Manager, Operator or Admin. The Admin option is only shown to the company owner.
The Assigned projects, Chats and Response time headers are clickable: the first click sorts from high to low, the second one from low to high. At the bottom of the page, Rows per page offers 10, 20, 30 or 50.
Row actions
Clicking anywhere in a row opens the staff profile. The ā® button at the right edge gives three actions:
- Assign to project ā links the person to projects and categories. See Assigning to projects.
- Manager / Operator ā switches the role to the other one. This item is only visible to the company owner.
- Delete ā removes the account completely.
Finding someone quickly
Type a person's name into the global search at the top: clicking the result opens that staff profile directly, with no need to page through the list.
Staff count and your plan
The New staff member button depends on the number of seats in your plan. When the seats run out the button is disabled and hovering it shows how many of them are taken. If the subscription has expired, the button takes you to the subscription page instead.
Next steps
- Adding a staff member ā creating an account and the password rules.
- Roles and permissions ā what Admin, Manager and Operator can do.
- Assigning to projects ā who sees which chats.
